Our food is responsible for more than a third of greenhouse gas emissions, from the production of raw materials to consumption. French food companies, which are well aware of this issue, are deploying processes and/or designing products that aim to limit their environmental impact: implementation of short circuits, use of cleaner and less energy-consuming processes, use of natural ingredients, development of eco-designed food packaging, combating food waste, etc. Many innovative companies have placed the issue of sustainability at the heart of their convictions or their raison d'être because, beyond the question of image, it impacts on competitiveness.
