In recent years, open banking has acted as an intermediary for traditional banking by enabling business leaders to view their accounts and initiate transfers directly via the fintech platform of their choice: their invoicing, cash flow management, supplier management or accounting tool, for example.
A second recent technological revolution is taking this banking intermediation even further: AI agents. A business leader can now seek financial advice or access a loan directly via their AI interface.
