Description
Cement production accounts for 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, making this industry the third-largest emitter after China and the United States. At the core of this issue is clinker, a component of cement responsible for 95% of its carbon footprint and 90% of that of concrete. However, solutions already exist to significantly reduce its impact at scale and immediately. This roundtable will highlight the technological, industrial, and regulatory levers that could enable France to become a leading example in cement decarbonization by 2030.
