The scientific findings are clear: biodiversity is undergoing an unprecedented crisis as a result of human activity, with 50% of living species likely to have disappeared by 2100. But what is the role and place of SMEs and ETIs in this situation? Behind the term “biodiversity” lie crucial issues for businesses: access to natural resources such as water, energy, biomass and metals, land issues and pollution of natural environments, and resilience in the face of climatic hazards. Taking biodiversity issues into account is therefore a question of managing risks, but also of creating opportunities, by bringing about more responsible solutions. In this workshop, you will hear the views of an SME committed to preserving biodiversity, and of the Office Français de la Biodiversité, which is developing tools to initiate such approaches.

La Banque Centrale Européenne souligne l'importance de la biodiversité pour les entreprises, mettant en avant les risques économiques liés à sa dégradation. L'Office français de la biodiversité accompagne les entreprises dans la prise en compte de ces enjeux, avec des outils tels que le Diag Biodiversité et le programme Entreprise Engagée pour la Nature.
