Description
What do the curved tips of aircraft wings, self-cleaning windows, and painless medical needles have in common? All these innovations are inspired by nature, which is called biomimicry. Based on the idea of drawing inspiration from nature to develop technical progress, biomimicry was formulated by Leonardo da Vinci over 500 years ago. It is at the origin of many of today's innovations in fields as varied as medicine, research, industry, the economy, architecture and town planning, agriculture, ecosystem management and development. Perhaps it could be a fantastic source of inspiration for innovations in favour of the ecological transition?
