European defence: an opportunity for French tech?

Faced with new security challenges, among which terrorism, hybrid actions, energy insecurity, cyber attacks and, more recently, the return of armed conflict in Europe, strategic autonomy in the area of defence has become a top priority for the European Union.
A new impetus has been given to the ambition of creating a "security community", notably through the definition of a common roadmap and the creation of tools to facilitate the financing of this cooperation: the European Defence Fund (EDF). What is the role of French companies, and more particularly the most innovative of them, in achieving this common project?
