The Deeptech Plan, implemented by Bpifrance, aims to position France as a major player in disruptive innovation on a global scale. Originally endowed with a €3 billion fund, its resources were strengthened in 2022 through the France 2030 initiative, reinforcing support for academic institutions and startups. Deeptech, as a new wave, represents a major societal challenge that is disrupting traditional industries. This upheaval is already underway in various fields where Deeptech has established a foothold.
The European Innovation Council (EIC)is dedicated to facilitating the path of disruptive innovations from their conception in the laboratory to their introduction on the market. It is a key element of the Horizon Europe program, allocating a substantial budget of 10 billion euros to fund Deeptech projects between 2021 and 2027.
Bpifrance and the EIC share a common vision: to catalyze the emergence, stimulate the acceleration and propel the growth of Deeptech innovations and companies. Together, they are working to amplify the impact of disruptive innovations on a global scale.
A week of events dedicated to promoting our vision of an innovative Europe through DeepTech. The aim of this week, organized by Bpifrance in support of DeepTech, is to highlight the concerted efforts of the various Bpifrance departments: DeepTech, EuroQuity, Pole Europe and International Collaborative Innovation. These teams work together to support DeepTech companies in France and Europe, and this week is an opportunity to showcase their collaboration.
This week illustrates our joint efforts with the European Commission to build an innovative Europe through Deeptech. All this represents an excellent opportunity to formulate a European response to the major challenges facing society in terms of technology, health, climate and sovereignty.
