The program targets French startups and SMEs in the health sector (biotech, medtech, digital health, etc.) that are registered in the Île-de-France region. Eligible companies must present a clear international development strategy, carry an innovative R&D project, and have the internal capacity to fully engage in the program.
Not eligible:
Companies in financial difficulty as defined by EU regulations, those not up to date with tax and social obligations, civil companies and sole proprietorships, and companies whose R&D activities are located outside Île-de-France. Companies owned more than 25% by partner or affiliated entities are also excluded if their consolidated data does not meet the eligibility criteria. For companies with multiple locations in France, only those whose main R&D activities are based in Île-de-France will be considered eligible.
Application Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on several qualitative criteria:
- European ambition of the project: Demonstrated intent to collaborate in R&D, raise funds, or access international markets.
- Alignment with European funding schemes: Technological maturity (TRL), project themes, and objectives must align with the priorities of European programs.
- Company commitment: Strong involvement from the leadership team and ability to mobilize internal resources throughout the program.
- Innovation and growth potential: A clear vision for technological and commercial development at the European level.
- Collaboration capacity: Openness to working with European partners (academic, industrial, institutional) will be highly valued.
Selected companies will be contacted by Bpifrance at the end of November. To confirm participation, they must formally commit within 10 days of notification. More details are available in the program guidelines.
