Description
The earth is 70% water but only 2.5% is drinkable freshwater. Water is also a key economic resource as it is vital to many industrial processes, such as washing, waste disposal and cooling installations. This precious resource is increasingly scarce: according to the United Nations, four out of ten people suffer from water shortages. Climate change is exacerbating the situation. It’s time to assess the situation and understand the issues and dependencies on this resource and explore the economic implications, particularly for industry.
