INDUO develops and distributes textile technologies to make our clothes more efficient and more sustainable. The first product we launched on the market is a liquid-repellent and breathable cotton shirting fabric. Thanks to its success, we were able to fund new research projects, including our main one: Greencose, a
process for recycling used textiles.
Today, less than 1% of used textiles are recycled into clothing. Recycled textiles are usually made from production off-cuts or other materials (plastic bottles): there is practically no clothing produced from used clothing. 3 obstacles remain to be overcome: multi-composition, multi-color and hard points (buttons, zippers, etc.).
Greencose solves at least partailly these 3 challenges. It is currently the only recycling technology capable of processing poorly sorted or multi-composition waste, thus preventing it from being landfilled or incinerated.
