Description
Since 1992, the National Bar Council has been the institution representing all lawyers in France. It has been given specific missions by law which govern the organisation of the profession. The legal missions of the National Bar Council : - To unify and develop the rules and practices of the legal profession - To organise the initial and continuing training of lawyers - To decide on the admission of foreign lawyers - To represent the legal profession in France and abroad In addition to the missions conferred on it by law, the National Council of Bars endeavours to represent the entire profession in its dealings with the public authorities, to promote it to the general public and to ensure its international influence
