Nicolas Treps is professor at Sorbonne Université, and leads the Multimode Quantum Optics research group at Laboratoire Kastler Brossel. His research aims at using the many degrees of freedom of light to study fundamental aspects of quantum optics and develop applications in quantum information and quantum metrology. He is the co-director of the Quantum Information Center Sorbonne (QICS). He co-founded the company Cailabs that develops innovative products for telecommunications and industrial lasers through light shaping.
