Beethoven Wars is based on two incidental music pieces by Insula orchestra’s favourite composer: King Stephen and The Ruins of Athens. This reimagined version takes place on distant planets, in a far-off future where our scorched Earth has become uninhabitable. Beethoven’s magical score, however, remains the same. All around the artists on the stage, a Manga space opera is playing on a 350m2 curved screen and on the auditorium’s walls, using 2D, 3D and mapping technologies. This film will later be available on specialized streaming platforms and be turned into VR experiences.
