Description
Dr. Jānis Grēviņš is Research Development Lead at LMT Group, working on defence innovation, European Defence Fund projects, and AI and secure connectivity for defence. He has over 20 years of experience connecting technology, policy and European funding.
From 2021 to 2025 he served on the Governing Board and Executive Committee of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT), overseeing EU innovation programmes worth up to EUR 1 billion a year. As CEO of Latvia’s Higher Education and Science IT Shared Service Centre, he secured over EUR 36 million for national digital and research infrastructure. He led Riga Business School for two decades, served 19 years on the supervisory council of telecom operator TET, and advised Latvia’s Ministry of Economics on semiconductor strategy. He holds a PhD and an MBA from the University at Buffalo (SUNY).
