He holds a Ph.D. in Machine Perception and Computer Vision (2023) from the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics at the University of Thessaly. With a strong track record in delivering complex national and European R&D projects, Dr. Dimas specializes in translating advanced AI research into field-ready solutions. His core expertise spans Machine Learning, Computer Vision, advanced signal and image processing, and Explainable AI (XAI), key enabling technologies for trustworthy autonomous systems, situational awareness, and dual-use applications. He has co-authored over 30 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences and serves as a regular reviewer for leading scientific journals.
