MU
Description
I have dedicated my career to driving global innovation and CO2-positive solutions. As of February 2025, I am the Founder and CEO of BioCC, where I lead the charge in the next frontier of biotechnology. My journey is defined by a unique ability to scale high-impact ventures from the ground up, backed by a deep technical foundation and a proven track record in global corporate leadership.
Professional Journey
Before launching BioCC, I founded and scaled Alver World SA (later Alver BV), taking a precision fermentation scale-up from concept to international operation. Under my leadership as President and CEO, the company secured over CHF 6 million in funding, established B2B footprints across Europe, and remained strictly aligned with UN sustainability goals. My work there earned me recognition as a Finalist for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ (2023) and a spot in the EIT Women-Led Top 10.
My corporate tenure includes pivotal roles at some of the world’s most influential food and science organizations:
• Nestlé: As Global Program Leader for Proteins, I established sustainable proteins as a core strategic platform for the board and was invited to the White House to consult on global food security.
• DuPont de Nemours: Over 15 years, I served as Global Growth Director for Alternative Protein Solutions and Business Director for Qualicon EMEA. I successfully tripled revenue within three years and received the DuPont Marketing Excellence Award for my work in DNA-based biotech and food safety.
I hold an MBA from Erasmus University (Rotterdam School of Management) and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Bosporus. My executive education is further bolstered by certifications from IMD Lausanne and the University of Saint Gallen, alongside a Six Sigma Black Belt.
I am a committed mentor, serving as a Board member for WIN in Lausanne and a Coach different sustainability and circular economy start-ups.
