Description
Major General Georgios Panousis is the Director of the 6th Branch of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS) since May 2024, responsible for Transformation, Innovation, and Defense Technology. He is a board member of the Hellenic Center for Defense Innovation (HCDI). A graduate of the Hellenic Army Academy (1990) and Civil Engineer from NTUA, he has over 34 years of service in command and staff positions, including international peacekeeping missions. He previously held senior roles in Army Support, NATO JFC Naples, and the Military Engineers Directorate (MOMKA).
