Description

MexBrain began developing a medical device to extract metal from the bloodstream of intensive-care patients in 2017. The standards and constraints for developing a medical device are very different from those covering medication. What’s more, they are currently in a state of flux with the application of a new regulation: MDR. There are also inherent difficulties in developing a device for use on acute patients with complex pathologies.
