Description
With 99% of the population having access to electricity, North Africa is still highly dependent on fossil fuels. The development of sustainable energy systems therefore represents a considerable challenge for a region with some of the most favorable conditions in the world for the exploitation of renewable energy. Hydroelectricity, solar energy and wind power could account for up to 28% of total energy production by 2030. This is the objective of the region, opening up a whole range of opportunities and investments to companies on both sides of the Mediterranean.
