Created in 1998, from the merger of the neighboring clubs Le Pontet Basket and Avignon.
In 2014, it becomes the GAS (Union Grand Avignon-Sorgues). The union is dissolved in the summer of 2017. The club becomes again the USAP. The club evolves in a room fully equipped to receive many people and ideally located in the area of Saint Chamand, near Avignon Cap Sud.
