STADE FRANCAIS PARIS RUGBY

Description

The Stade français Paris rugby is a French rugby club founded in 1892 and based in Paris. It is the result of the merger of the rugby sections of the Stade français and the CASG Paris (Club athlétique des sports généraux) in 1995. It took on the status of a limited company with a board of directors, adapted to professional rugby, as opposed to the association law of 1901 Stade français, which remained an omnisports club. Fourteen times French champion (1893, 1894, 1895, 1897, 1898, 1901, 1903, 1908, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2015) and winner of the European Challenge in 2017, the club plays at the Stade Jean Bouin (20,000 seats).
