SECTION PALOISE BÉARN PYRÉNÉES

Description

Created in 1902 and 118 years old, this centenary club brings together about twenty different sports activities, practiced by more than 2483 members. The coat of arms of the club, as well as its colors are the pride of the Section's supporters. It represents the Pic du Midi d'Ossau, a Pyrenean summit that symbolizes the Béarn territory. It is in 1912, that the Paloise Section adopts definitively its colors: Green and White. Over the years, the Section has become a stronghold of French rugby, winning 3 French championship titles, the Yves du Manoir challenges and the French cup in 1997. The club is also changing its name to Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées, thus marking its desire to anchor its colors and its ambition within a wider territory of expression. The 2017-2018 season was marked by the arrival of the new Hamlet stadium, with a capacity of 18,324 people, a sporting season full of hope in TOP 14 and a return of the Section to the European stage (semi-finalist).
