Initiative France is the leading French network in supporting and financing business start-ups, take-over and expansion. In 2019, the 215 Initiative France's local nonprofit associations, supported 18 164 enterprises and triggered the creation and preservation of 50 000 jobs.
To do so, Initiative network provides a totally free service in human and financial support for the beneficiary with an interest free micro loan, called « loan on trust » (Prêt d'honneur), which is interest free and with no personal guarantee. The reinforcement of the company’s cash resources or capital and the quality of the customized back-up foster entrepreneurs’ access to bank services and the sustainability of the supported projects.
Thus, when associations of the Initiative France network lend 1€ from their own fund, an average of around 8€ are invested by banks on the accompanied projects. After 3 years, 92% of the businesses supported by the network are still active.
