Our health data provides many invaluable opportunities including identifying risk factors for a disease, diagnosis, selecting and monitoring the effectiveness and safety of treatments, and improving knowledge about the healthcare system. However, due to the lack of domestic solutions for collecting, storing and securing data, France turns to foreign platforms, such as the Health Data Hub hosted by Microsoft. Legal and regulatory responses such as Arcom and the Digital Service Act promote greater transparency and restore public confidence. But what conditions would be conducive to the emergence of national champions?
