Description
Chile is set to play a major role in the production of two resources for the future: lithium and green hydrogen. Renewable energy sources already account for 55% of electricity production in the region. However, renewable energy depends on wind and sun, making it unstable. Additional stable sources are required to ensure continuous supply. High-performance storage technologies are still needed, paving the way for battery technologies linked to hydrogen which is in growing demand.
