Description
The six million French people without a GP are all potential patients for A&E. The crisis in outpatient care is exacerbating the crisis in hospitals, destabilised by the urgency of social issues. Problems of access to care are compounded by poor communication between healthcare professionals, both private and in hospitals, which is detrimental to care coordination and patient follow-up. The latest healthcare system reform entitled "Ma Santé 2022" (My Health 2022) aimed for better coordination between outpatient caregivers and hospitals for the benefit of patients. What is the status quo?
