Access to care is one of the pillars of the French healthcare system, but inequalities are significant due to problems such as GP shortages and (excessively) costly medication and medical devices. In a Cluster 17 survey for Le Point magazine published at the end of April 2023, 40% of the French population said they had refused healthcare due to the cost, and 78% even expressed concern about the future of their healthcare system. How can we guarantee fair and sustainable access to healthcare?
