The Duty of Vigilance Act, adopted in 2017 and resulting from the Rana Plaza disaster in 2013, has put respect for human rights back at the heart of strategic issues for multinationals. The latter must now publish a vigilance plan to prevent environmental, social and governance risks in their activities, those of their subsidiaries, subcontractors and suppliers. However, these obligations covering the entire value chain of the company concerned are spreading to the smallest players who do not necessarily have the resources to meet the CSR requirements of their principals.
What is the assessment after 3 years of application? Does it represent an obstacle or an opportunity for the growth of companies?
