Founded in 1994 in Tunisia, the AfricInvest Group is a pioneer and leader in Private Equity in Africa, targeting growing SMEs, operating in structuring sectors. Supported by private and institutional investors, as well as by first-class international development agencies, AfricInvest is a long-term generalist investor operating in the mid-market segment and which supports the development of SMEs in the implementation of their development projects, particularly in Africa.
With nearly 2.0 billion euros in funds raised as of June 2021, AfricInvest has to date made nearly 200 investments in nearly 30 countries in Africa - and in France - and relies on a team of more than 90 employees of nearly 20 different nationalities operating from 10 offices established in Abidjan, Algiers, Casablanca, Lagos, Cairo, Nairobi, Paris, Saint Louis, Tunis and Washington.
The Franco-African Funds invest minority interests comprising between € 2m and € 6m, in equity and quasi-equity, in French SMEs with a turnover of between € 30m and € 300m, with a stake, a presence or a development plan on the African continent.
